A Classic Education
Gli A Classic Education sono una band di Bologna formata da membri canadesi e italiani. La loro storia è iniziata tra il Natale 2006 e l’inizio del nuovo anno.
Quattro rigorose e pulite notti tra le montagne del centro/nord Italia in cui A CLASSIC EDUCATION hanno registrato le prime 3 canzoni.
Suonando una miriade di strumenti Jonathan Clancy, Paul Pieretto e Luca Mazzieri hanno trasformato cio’ che avevano dentro in un denso, orchestrale, estatico flusso liberatorio.
Tutto cio’ accadeva principalmente di notte, mentre il vento si insinuava tra le fessure e gli ululati dei cani, in lontananza, scandivano il tempo.
Per un breve momento “the blazing world” (un mondo ardente) ha tenuto tutto assieme;
un secondo dopo era semplicemente A CLASSIC EDUCATION.
In poco tempo la famiglia si è allargata e ora dal vivo l’educazione classica presenta anche Federico Oppi, Stefano Roveda e Giulia Mazza.
Al momento A Classic Education ha indossato una trentina di palchi: ha avuto la fortuna di aprire per Modest Mouse, Arcade Fire, Lightspeed Champion, Hot Club De Paris, The Wave Pictures, Hot Club De Paris, Love Is All!, Jennifer Gentle e Giardini Di Mirò. In poco più di un anno la band è volata cinque volte a Londra per suonare nelle prestigiose serate del White Heat, Twee As Fuck, Club Fandango e Rockfeedback. Nell’estate del 2008 la band è stata invitata al Festival Indietracks nel Derbyshire, una istituzione dell’indie-pop mondiale. Gli A Classic Education hanno diviso il palco con Los Campesinos! e The Wedding Present.
Nel Giugno del 2008 la band pubblica il “First EP”, un vinile 12” autoprodotto in edizione limitata che viene però distribuito subito tramite il mailorder di Rough Trade e di Norman Records.

their debutalbum "alone in the bright ligths of a shattered life" was recorded in november 2004 and will be released on resonant in august 2005 besides library tapes, david makes music as "between sea and water", "...and we walked across the lake" and also under his own name per is among others things one half of the duo "ailith"

Le due reduci delle Starfish, basso e batteria, riprendono da dove avevano lasciato: scaricando il noise per il punkrock e le melodie alla Pixies. Singalong a manetta e giri semplici semplici. Vi conquisteranno con la loro ignoranza!
Still Leven
There are thousands of moments in a day. Some good, some bad. Some of them will be forgotten, some of them will be written forever in your brain. Some of them sad, some of them joyful. But all of them are unique in your life, they won`t repeat themself, never. And when you become aware of this, you try to catch as many of them as possible, no matter how they are. That`s your life, and you don`t want it to steal away before having felt it as deeply as possible. And after the feeling, you need something to remember that. Maybe you`ll write something, maybe you`ll take a picture of something, or maybe you`ll write a song. This is where our music comes from. Life experiences, all of them. Signs of our presence in a place where it`s so hard to find your own way.
