Whilst there’s a jazzy vocabulary present at various points on the album, there’s little in the way of long improvisatory sections. Instead, the majority are tightly-scripted expeditions dispatched with admirable brevity. There’s also a very appealing and playful pop-ish sensibility at work. Hugely enjoyable, Parlimone, with reversed tapes, closely picked guitar, and yearning tune, positively bubbles with joy.
